You've invested in the fancy camera.
Now what?
Why not invest in yourself?
"David is a patient teacher who knows how to combine the technical and artistic aspects of capturing images. My photography went to the next level after instruction with David."
J. Scott Hinkle - Black Mountain, NC
In "normal" times, I would be offering a variety of photography workshops and photo tours, along with one-on-one private instruction. But, due to the COVID situation, I have made the decision to move all of my teaching activities to an on-line format, and I am in the process of building a new website that is customized for this purpose (the site you are on now is just an "interim" presence for DSP until the other site is completed).
At the moment, I am offering private photography consultations via Zoom or phone (but, if you are in the Brevard or Asheville, NC area, it is possible to arrange an in-person meeting).
Why private instruction?
Personalized: The material covered is customized to the specific needs and interests of the individual client.
Pace: We proceed at a pace you are comfortable with.
Efficiency: There are no distractions from other students.
Flexibility: We can go wherever you would like to go, not worrying about physical limitations of group members.
Diversity of Material: Topics include anything offered in my workshops and tours, and more, combining sit-down instruction with field work, and with image critiques.
Customized Group Work: Gather your own group for a personalized event with your friends.
Mentor Program: We can design a medium- to long-range program to set you on your path to photographic excellence. Fee discounts are available for such packages, starting at five 90-minute sessions.
Once the new DSP website is live, I will have a variety of on-line photography courses available.
COACHING: In the coming weeks after that, I will be expanding my photography teaching and consulting into Life & Business Coaching, offering a comprehensive path to creativity, productivity, and personal happiness.
"I appreciate the way you organized and presented the tour and I feel that I came away with a good bit of knowledge.  I've been to a couple of workshops in the past where the instructor acted like they really didn't want to be there, but you showed an interest in everybody, regardless of their experience and skill level and were patient in answering our questions.  You'll be seeing me at some of your future workshops."
